Truro Grasshoppers youth football club, based at Truro's Boscawen Park and Trispen FC, is a successful and growing club established in 2000. Mick Rolfe, Peter Roe and one of the masters at Treliske Prep School started an U10's team called "AFC Grasshoppers" and as they had so many boys who wanted to play at U10 they had to introduce another team in 2001. They ran two teams for a couple of years introducing a new U10 group each year until 2005. Unfortunately Mick's health became too bad for him to continue and Truro Grasshoppers was formed with 3 teams.  

Over the years the Club has continued to grow by developing and coaching the footballing skills of children between the ages of 10 and 16 and in 2007 we began to involve girls by creating the U12's girls team.

Currently our teams play in the Kernow Cornwall Youth League and as the club is rapidly expanding there is always a need for sponsorship, coaching staff, helpers and of course, more new players. The club will fund any courses or qualifications required for it's development and are showing it's ambition by becoming a Chartered Standard club. Our  NEW website is the next stage in our continued progression made in a very short space of time.

Also on the 26th April 2009 we will be represented by the Under 11's and the Under 16's in the Cup Finals that will be played at Hayle FC

We are moving forward all of the time and this season 2009 - 2010 we will have four new qualified coaches by the beginning of August and are also hoping to have three more qualified referees within the club.
